About the art itself....I use a variety of mediums in my work, from acrylics and oils to pencil, crayons and some amazing products that make my pieces pop such as inks, pearls and powders. The canvas is stretched (ie on stretcher bars), arrives ready to install and has a gallery wrapped finish....ie the edges are also painted to match the face. Therefore the painting doesn't need to be framed...if you prefer a raw, yet finished look.
However, many pieces look fantastic with external frames....even small ones! You can read a little on that here if you like. All paintings are sealed with a triple coat non-yellowing varnish. Nothing but quality all the way, and my pieces are almost always on an EPIC scale! Though I am often being asked to do Minis these days...hit me up for a commissioned piece if you would like something smaller.
In my process, I often use a lot of of texture and some very unusual techniques revolving around the layering process....setting pieces on fire has become a favourite:) They are indeed real art that you will want to run your hand over. They are not embellished prints in any form.
A little bit of "me" goes into every work I produce. I am proud of what I produce, and I feel blessed to be able to make a living as a full time artist.
I have also made many monumental framed canvases as large as 4m x 2m, 3m x 3m and 1m x 6m. Please don't be scared to ask! Almost anything is possible to be manufactured and shipped local, interstate or overseas.
All pieces come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. I also sign all pieces on the front with my "Franko" insignia. This normally appears in the left corner and is done in a neutral colour or something from within the piece.
To ensure your purchase is risk free, I also guarantee a full refund on my store pieces. You love what you receive, or return it for a full refund within 7 days. Whilst I like to think it will be love at first sight, if the chemistry isn't there between you and your purchase, we need to fix that. I have a strong client base, and wish to see it grow organically. Many clients have multiple pieces of my art hanging on their walls. Most stock orders will be sent within 2 or 3 working days. Custom orders normally ship in a couple of weeks, however some custom pop pieces can take some 50 or 60 hours to produce, so I need a bit longer. If you need something super fast, let me know. I have turned around pieces need for projects in as little as 24 hours. I will move mountains to make sure you have it for when you need it.
Your order will be poly wrapped, with inserts and polystyrene and packaged appropriately in twin wall cartons that I have custom made, once again to my specs. I generally ship via TNT or Startrack, and often use my own direct couriers if I have several pieces within a region, or an artwork is oversized. Please allow up to 7 days to receive your order once it has been despatched.
For international orders, TNT or DHL International are the shippers of choice.
I only use quality paints including Matisse, Atelier and Montana. When producing custom pieces you may request colors to match "sofas" and/or interior colour schemes. I welcome clients to visit the Watyl site www.wattyl.com.au and advise on any colour preferences.This allows us to talk in the same "language" for colour.
